Phonix Bad, Ottobrun, is a a large swimming complex, with a swimming pool, "fun" pool (inside and outside), diving pool, baby/toddler pool and kiddy's pool. A whirlpool/jucuzzi and sauna. There are even two water slides for those adventurous enough! Scattered around the outside of the indoor and outdoor "fun" pools are plastic loungers for those wanting to relax.
In May 2009, it cost us €8.50 (per adult) for four-hours swimming.
To get there via public transport from Unterhaching/Taufkirchen area, the best option is via the 222 bus (aka the Ikea bus!) which you can catch from Taufkirchen S-Bahn or the Taufkirchen Rathous. It takes approx 30 minutes (depending on where you get on the bus) and takes you direct to the Phonix Bad front door!
Another option is via the s-bahn (nearest train station is Ottobrun) but the swimming complex is a good 30 minute walk away.
The restaurant serves the usual snacks, pizza, chips, burgers, salads, filled rolls at a reasonable price.
A great place to hang out and relax for half-day, especially when the sun is hot hot hot!
